MINSK. Dec 9 (Interfax) - Inflation in Belarus in November 2008 came to 1.4%, up from 1% in October and September, 0.2% in August, 0.8% in July and 0.6% in June, the National Statistics Committee told Interfax.
In January-November 2008, consumer prices went up 12% in contrast with 9.4% in the same period of 2007.
In accordance with the country's socio-economic development forecast for 2008, Belarusian inflation was set to stay between 6%-8% for the year. The Economic Ministry said that actual consumer price growth for the year would come to around 14%.
In 2007, inflation in Belarus reached 12.1% against 6.6% in 2006 and 8% in 2005.
The approved forecast for 2009 puts consumer price growth at 9%-11%.
