Medvedev, Lukashenko approve principles of gas supplies in 2009

MOSCOW, December 22 (Itar-Tass) -- Russian President Dmitry Medvedev and Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko on Monday approved the principles of Russian gas supplies to Belarus and payment for them in 2009.

"An agreement was reached at the talks on the main principles of work in the field of gas supplies to Belarus and payments for them next year," Kremlin spokeswoman Natalia Timakova said.
