Turkish investors have offered to set up a bank in Belarus, said Foreign Minister Sergei Martynov in a TV speech broadcast by the First TV channel. The Belarusian Foreign Minister is currently staying in Ankara for business negotiations, reported Belta.
a?sThe Turkish side showed a deep interest to invest in the construction and banking sector of Belarus. A proposal was made to set up a Turkish bank in Belarus,a?t Sergei Martynov said.
The Foreign Minister added that the process of familiarizing with the Belarusian economic area by the Turkish investors is underway. Sergei Martynov stressed that Turkey had already partaken in some projects including the reconstruction of the Crown Plaza Hotel in Minsk and a purchase of the Belarusian mobile operator by the Turkish company Turkcell. a?sBelarus hopes for further cooperation between the agencies and business circles of the two countries,a?t the Minister said.
