Nato Representatives to Discuss Bilateral Military Cooperation in Minsk

MINSK. Dec 11 (Interfax) - The visit of NATO Deputy Assistant Secretary General Robert Simmons to Minsk will focus on Belarus- NATO military cooperation, the Belarusian Defense Ministry told Interfax on Thursday.

"A meeting of representatives of the Defense Ministry with the NATO delegation on Belarus-NATO military cooperation and a joint conference on modern international security challenges will take place at an agreement with the Belarusian side as part of the two- day visit," the ministry said.

The visit starts on Thursday and marks the end of the mission of the Lithuanian embassy to Belarus as NATO contact embassy in Belarus, the ministry said.
