Belarus: Agricultural Product Manufacturing to Grow by 8.1% in January - October

Agricultural product manufacturing grew by 8.1% in January - October in Belarus in comparison with the corresponding period of the last year.

As of November 1, 2008, cattle livestock increased by 132 thousand heads or by 3.6% in agricultural and other organizations considered in the current report, if compared with the corresponding date of the last year, including cow stock increase by 19.8 thousand heads (by 1.6%). Pig stock increased by 120.4 thousand heads (by 4.5%) for this period.

For January - October 2008, livestock and poultry distribution grew by 5% in agricultural and other organizations considered in the current report, if compared with the corresponding date of the last year, milk production grew by 8.9%, and egg production growth amounted to 5.2%.
