Belarus expects to receive a $1.5 billion stabilization credit from Russia, Kommersant reported Nov. 27, citing comments a day earlier from Belarusian Finance Minister Nikolay Korbut. There has been no final decision on the loan, but the draft agreement has been written, Korbut said. He also said Belarus is considering converting its trading to the Russian ruble in response to U.S. sanctions against the Belneftekhim Co.
