Arms supplies to Belarus to remain top priority, Russian official says

RBC, 23.10.2007, Moscow 12:55:41.Russia considers its armament supplies to Belarus to be the country's priority. In addition, the supplies are produced at specially reduced rates, Russian Defense Minister Anatoly Serdyukov said during a joint Defense Ministry Board of Russia and Belarus today. He pointed out that both countries found their partnership mutually beneficial.

Serdyukov also said at the opening of the meeting that Russia and Belarus's military agencies and Defense Ministries had to strengthen cooperation in light of NATO's recent expansion and the deployment of elements of the US anti-missile defense system in Europe.
