Two Belarusian athletes banned for doping

MINSK, Belarus: Two Belarusian athletes were banned for two years for doping after testing positive for banned substances.
The Belarusian Athletics Federation said Tuesday the decision to ban shot putter Yulia Leantsyuk and steeplechaser Irina Bakhanouskaya was made last month.
Federation spokeswoman Nastassia Maryinina said tests taken from Leantsyuk on July 22 showed she had used testosterone. Maryinina said Bakhanouskaya had a positive result for stanozolol from tests taken July 21.
Both athletes competed in the European Cup in France in June
