Belarus to not import grain

This season, Belarus will not import grain, with the exception of 130-150 thsd tonnes of wheat with high gluten content (nearly 28%), Vasiliy Pavlovskiy, the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food said.

Belarus does not grow such grain, however, the bakery industry needs it to improve the mix of Belarusian flour, said V.Pavlovskiy.

Belarus has harvested a record grain volume of 9.3 mln tonnes, measured in bunker weight. Such volume will satisfy all domestic food and feed consumption, the Deputy Minister said.
