Iran-Belarus-Natural Disasters
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad endorsed an agreement between Iran and Belarus on prevention of natural disasters, the Interior Ministry said on Monday.
Head of Interior Ministry's media council Hojatoleslam Mohammad Hossein Mousapour said that the agreement concerns the resolve of the two nations to bolster longstanding relations and its implementation will serve welfare and security of the two nations.
The agreement envisaged technical cooperation and data sharing between Iran and Belarus to lower damage of natural disasters.
It has one introductory and 17 Articles about coordination between the two countries in prevention of natural disaster.
The agreement calls for establishment of joint infrastructure for early warning and the role the United Nations and other international forums would undertake in dealing with damages of natural disasters.
