Belarus harvested nearly 6.7 mln tonnes of grains

As of the morning of August 17, the general grain production of agricultural organizations of Belarus totaled 6.67 mln tonnes with the average yield of 38.5 c/ha, declared the Ministry of Agriculture and Food. Minsk oblast showed the highest index of grain production - 1.7 mln tonnes.

In the current year, the yield increased the previous year indices by 0.5 c/ha. Agricultural economies of Grodno oblast showed the highest yield - nearly 46.3 c/ha.

Agrarians of the country harvested grains throughout 1.73 mln ha, or 75.3% of planned areas as opposed to nearly 82% on the same date of the previous year. Daily agrarians thresh nearly 84.8 thsd ha, or 3.7%.

Agrarians have almost completed brewing barley harvesting campaign. Belarusian agricultural enterprises harvested the grain throughout 82 thsd ha, or 93.5% of planned areas. The production volumes totaled 324.5 thsd tonnes with the average yield of 39.5 c/ha.
