Belarus to complete mass grain harvesting campaign at the end of the following week

Belarus will complete the mass harvesting campaign of grains at the end of the following week, declared Vladimir Garkun, the head of the main department of plant growing of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of Belarus, on August 13. According to him, in the terms of favorable weather, the country will complete the harvesting works next week.

The average daily rates of harvesting totaled 5-6%, marked V.Garkun. As of August 13, Belarus harvested 1.5 mln ha of grains, or 65% of planned areas. The production volumes totaled 5.79 mln tonnes with the average yield of 39 c/ha.

In the current year, agrarians plan harvest grains at the level of the previous year - 8 mln tonnes, added V.Garkun.
