Grain production in Belarus totaled 8.1 mln tonnes
Grain production of agricultural economies in Belarus reached the level of 8.13 mln tonnes, declared the Ministry of Agriculture and Food.
As of the morning of August 27, agricultural organizations of the country harvested grains and leguminous plants (without maize) throughout 2.17 mln ha. Agrarians still have to harvest grains throughout nearly 6% of the planned areas. Brest and Grodno oblasts almost completed the harvesting campaign (98% and 96% of harvested areas respectively).
The average yield of grains and leguminous plants in the country totaled 37.5 c/ha. Rainy weather slowed down harvesting works in several regions of Belarus.
