Grain production in Belarus totaled nearly 8 mln tonnes

Agricultural organizations of Belarus ha¢ almost completed the harvesting campaign of grains, declared the Ministry of Agriculture and Food.

As of August 23, agrarians harvested grains and leguminous plants (without maize) throughout 2.04 mln ha, or 89% of the planned harvesting areas. Brest oblast almost finished the harvesting campaign (95.6% of planned areas).

Grain production of agricultural economies in Belarus almost reached the level of 8 mln tonnes and totaled 7.74 mln tonnes. The average grain yield totaled 38.1 c/ha.
