Lukashenko, Yushchenko could exchange formal visits before end of 2009

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko could pay a formal visit to Kyiv before the end of this year, Ukrainian Ambassador to Belarus Ihor Likhovy told journalists in Minsk on Friday.
"Political contacts will continue this year. We are preparing for a formal visit by the Belarusian president to Ukraine. I think the visit will take place this year," the Ukrainian diplomat said.
Ukraine's President Viktor Yushchenko could pay a formal visit to Minsk this year, Likhovy also said.
"He received an invitation to pay a formal visit to Belarus," the Ukrainian ambassador said.
