Belarus harvested half of brewer's barley sowing areas

Belarusian agrarians harvested brewer's barley from the area of 47.400 ha, or more than a half of sowing areas. The croppage totaled 182.000 tonnes, yield - 38.5 c/ha, declared Gregory Romanuk, the head of the Main Department of Plant Growing of Ministry of Agriculture and Food, on August 7.

According to G.Romanuk, present yield of brewer's barley increased by 7 c/ha as compared to the previous year, and agrarians will harvest nearly 350.000 tonnes of crop. The government will buy 150.000 tonnes of brewer's barley.
