(IsraelNN.com) A Holocaust memorial in Belarus was desecrated last week, the Jewish Telegraphic Agency reported on August 21.
Known as Yama (The Pit), the memorial was established in 1946 in memory of the Jewish inmates of the Minsk Ghetto during World War II.
Last week it was covered with human waste. Jewish leaders in Belarus requested that the authorities find the perpetrators and bring them to justice. (Bigotry Monitor -- UCSJ's weekly newsletter)
