Turkmenistan's defense minister to visit Belarus

Turkmenistan's defense minister is expected to pay the first-ever official visit to Belarus on July 21-25, BelaPAN news agency reports quoting the press service of the Belarusian defense ministry. The purpose of the visit is to hold talks on the development of military cooperation between the two countries.

The Turkmen defense minister, army general Agageldy Mamedgeldiyev, is scheduled to have meetings with the Belarusian defense minister, Leonid Maltsev, and the chairman of the State Defense Industry Committee, Nicolas Azamatov. The delegation of the Turkmen defense ministry is to visit the Military Academy, the 61st Fighter Airbase, a dog breeding and training center and the 558th Aircraft Repair Works.
