MINSK. July 13 (Interfax) - Belarus's foreign trade deficit more than doubled to $881.6 million in January-May 2007 compared to the same period of 2006, the Belarussian Statistics and Analysis Ministry told Interfax.
The Belarussian Federal Customs Committee said earlier that the foreign trade deficit was $435.1 million in January-May 2006.
Foreign trade turnover grew 19% in the first five months of 2007, including a growth of 16% for exports and an increase of 21.8% for imports.
