The Belarusian government's auction for the provision of universal services was unsuccessful due to lack of interest, writes E-Belarus.org.
The bid took place from 22 May - 25 June and included two lots: one for pay phones in remote rural areas and another for public internet access points. Belpoczta, the Belarusian Post, was the only company to submit a bid. Belpoczta applied for the second lot.
