MOSCOW -(Dow Jones)- Belarus will probably sign an amended natural gas transit contract with Russia's OAO Gazprom (GAZP.RS) on Thursday, Interfax reports Wednesday.
The Russian side has agreed to pay $1.88 for each thousand cubic meters of gas transported 100 kilometers, Interfax reports, citing Belarussian Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Semashko.
Gazprom had planned to ship 44.5 billion cubic meters of gas through Belarus this year, which represents around a quarter of its total exports to Europe.
