Belarus says suspends Russian gas transit to Europe

MOSCOW June 22 (Reuters) - Belarus is suspending Russian transit gas deliveries to Europe after Moscow increased gas supply cuts for Belarus, President Alexander Lukashenko told reporters.

He said Russia and Belarus were now facing a full-fledged "gas war" and said he would not allow transit supplies to resume before Moscow redeems its debt to Minsk for gas transit. (Reporting by Andrei Makhovsky, writing by Dmitry Zhdannikov; editing by Alfred Kueppers)
