Belarus gas dispute might hit 6.25 pct of EU demand

BRUSSELS June 22 (Reuters) - A growing gas dispute between Russia and Belarus has the potential to hit 6.25 percent of European Union gas consumption, a European Commission spokeswoman said on Tuesday.

"Lithuania, Germany and Poland are the only three countries likely to be affected, and the situation could affect 6.25 percent of total EU gas consumption," said energy spokeswoman Marlene Holzner.
