EU to solve Russia-Belarus gas spat

Russia has informed the EU on cutting gas supplies to Belarus, Marlene Holzner, the European Commission spokeswoman, told reporters. She said the EU Energy Commissioner Guenther Oettinger received a letter in this respect on Monday.Russia cut gas supplies to Belarus by 15 percent early Monday, due to unpaid debts. Further cut by 85 percent is planned, if no payment is received.
