Gazprom says cuts to Belarus could start Monday

ST PETERSBURG Russia, June 18 (Reuters) - Russia's Gazprom (GAZP.MM: Quote) said it could cut 85 percent of its gas supplies to neighbouring Belarus from Monday if it fails to pay $192 million in debt.

"From Monday morning at 10 am (0600 GMT) we are prepared to cut supplies by 85 percent," a company spokesman said at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
