Gazprom has warned Belarus it might set a limit on gas supplies because of systemic violations of the gas contract by Beltransgas. Gazprom spokesman Sergei Kuprianov has said the gas holding has sent letters to Beltransgas General Director Vladimir Mayorov and First Vice-Premier Vladimir Semashko in which they are asked to pay the gas debt by June 21st or face restrictions on supplies. According to Kuprianov, if the debt is not settled, Belarus will owe Gazprom a total of 500 or 600 million dollars by the end of the year.
