Belarus' ambassador in Baku has praised his country's trade with Azerbaijan, saying it is increasingly growing.
Nikolay Patskevich spoke to a press conference on the eve of President Alexander Lukashenko`s visit to the Azeri capital.
"In the first four months of the current year trade between our countries made 58 million US dollars, which means a 132% increase from a year earlier."
"Our trade is growing year by year, which means that Azerbaijan and Belarus enjoy mutually advantageous ties in the trade and economic areas."
Patskevich said: "Last year trade between Azerbaijan and Belarus made 124.6 million US dollars, a 1.1-fold increase from 2008. Belarus buys juice, fruits, vegetables, kerosene and tobacco from Azerbaijan, while we export construction materials, refrigerators, electricity and engineering products."
