Ahmadinejad due in Belarus Monday

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is to pay an official two-day visit to Belarus on Monday.

President Ahmadinejad's visit to Minsk is to take place upon an official invitation by his Belarusian counterpart Alexander Lukashenko.

Following a proposal offered by Vice-President for Legal and Parliamentary Affairs Ahmad Moussavi, the cabinet on Sunday called on the Majlis to give priority on its agenda to reviewing and endorsing a bill on a treaty on mutual ties and principles of cooperation between Iran and Belarus.

President Ahmadinejad presented the bill to the Majlis on June 18.
