Belarus parliament approves cooperation accord with Iran

Belarus national parliament on Wednesday approved an agreement with Iran in the field of security cooperation.

The agreement was signed last September in Minsk during President Khatami's visit.

Under the agreement, the two sides agreed to cooperate in the field of joint scientific research and study events related to crimes, organizing training courses for the police force of the two countries.

They are also to cooperate in combating the illegal production and distribution of drugs, weapons and ammunition as well as the smuggling of valuable historical relics.
