Belarus Opposition Leader Jailed For 15 Days

(AGE) MINSK - Belarus's main opposition leader Alexander Milinkevich was sentenced on Thursday to 15 days in jail for organizing a major rally in Minsk deemed unlawful. Milinkevich denounced the sentence as blatantly political."This is a political action, political sentence," Milinkevich said after the judge read the sentence in court. "Leaders of leading political parties are behind bars." (AGE)
