MINSK, Belarus - Police detained Belarus opposition leader Alexander Milinkevich on Thursday and took him to a police station in the capital, his spokesman Pavel Mazheika said.
The detention came a day after Milinkevich led a protest rally that attracted around 10,000 people, one of the largest turnouts of isix weeks of demonstrations against authoritarian President Alexander Lukashenko.
