Brussels, Belgium (AHN) - According to reports, the European Union has banned the Belarusian President, Alexander Lukashenko, and 30 of his ministers and officials from entering the bloc.
Lukashenko was sworn in for a third term in office over the weekend. The Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe claims the initial Belarusian election was rigged after Lukashenko won over 83 percent of the vote in March.
EU officials have said further measures are being considered, including the possible freezing of assets of the country's leadership.
