CARACAS, March 17 (Itar-Tass) - Presidents Hugo Chavez of Venezuela and Alexander Lukashenko of Belarus visited a construction site in the city of Maracay where a residential compound of 5,000 apartments is being built with assistance from Belarusian companies.
The two Presidents put several symbolic shovels of concrete into the foundation of a five-story house.
First, Lukashenko threw just a modicum of concrete at the edge of the shovel, producing laughter of appraisal among the people around.
Then he threw several fully loaded shovels into the foundation, saying: "We've buried capitalism here."
President Chavez, who is building an authentic model of socialism of the 21st century, liked Lukashenko's remark very much.
