Azerbaijani and Belarusian foreign ministries hold political consultations

Baku - APA. On March 30, Azerbaijani and Belarusian foreign ministries held political consultations led by deputy foreign ministers Khalaf Khalafov and Igor Petrishenko in Baku.

Press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan told APA that the diplomats discussed the development of bilateral relations and high-level mutual visits, intensification of the inter-parliamentary relations, co9ordination of cooperation within the international organizations, cooperation within the Eastern Partnership initiative, regional cooperation, consular activity, strengthening of legal-treaty basis, thematic consultations between the foreign ministries and other topical issues.

The Belarusian diplomats were informed about the details of Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno Karabakh conflict. It was emphasized at the meeting that the solution to the conflict within the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Azerbaijan and elimination of the hard results of Armenian aggression is only way to the sustainable peace in the region.

Petrishenko met with Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Yagub Eyyubov, Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov and Chief of the Foreign Relations Department of the Presidential Administration Novruz Mammadov on Tuesday.

The diploma was familiarized with the activity and education program of the Diplomatic Academy of Azerbaijan.
