The Belarusian Justice Ministry has filed a lawsuit with the CIS Economic Court, disputing the validity of the customs tariffs on the oil products and crude oil supplied by Russia to Belarus, the court's spokesman Vladimir Vinnik told RIA News. Earlier, Belarus said Russia had no right to levy customs duties on oil products as of January 1, 2010, under an agreement on duty-free trade within the framework of a trilateral Customs Union set up Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan. Moscow has reacted calmly, saying that no matter what the court decides, its ruling is not mandatory.
