MINSK, Belarus, Jan. 23 Belarus said it is weighing the option of shipping oil via Baltic ports to feed its refineries.
The Web site of the Charter 97 human rights group reported Tuesday that First Deputy Prime Minister Uladzimir Syamashka told Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko that the government was looking at shipping oil via Baltic ports through the Ventspils-Navapolatsk pipeline.
It is entirely feasible and we are currently looking into this possibility, he said when asked by the president about the possibility of shipping oil through Baltic ports. He said the project to alter the pipeline would take 2 A? years and would cost $15 million to $30 million.
