Presidents of Ukraine and Belarus agree to meet in February

This was agreed during a telephone talk between Viktor Yushchenko and Oleksandr Lukashenko. The two Heads of States stated their readiness to prepare this meeting most thouroughly, "to be ready to ink important Belarussian-Ukrainian agreements".

The two Presidents discussed other issues of the bilateral cooperation, positively assessed trade and economic contacts between the two countries. The telephone talk was initiated by the Ukrainian party.
