Gazprom not to revise gas supply contracts with Ukraine, Belarus
BRUSSELS, December 8 (Itar-Tass) - Gazprom sees no reasons to revise gas contracts to supply natural gas to Ukraine and Belarus. The company is confident that there will be no fuel supply problems in the new year, an official said on Wednesday.
"All documents have been signed with Belarus and Ukraine, and although Ukraine voices the opinions regarding the necessity to revise the contract, there are no reasons for revision," Gazprom deputy CEO Alexander Medvedev told reporters.
Russia is to supply at least 40 billion cubic meters of gas to Ukraine in 2011. "Normal contract work is underway; all the contracts are being executed. I'm confident there won't be any problems in the new year," he said.
