All Russian citizens detained in Belarus freed

MINSK, December 29 (Itar-Tass) -- All the eleven Russian citizens detained in Minsk during the unsanctioned actions of the Belarussian opposition on December 19-20 have been freed, Vadim Gusev, counselor of the Russian embassy in Belarus, told Itar-Tass on Wednesday.

"As a result of vigorous moves on the part of the Russian side to protect the rights and interests of Russian citizens all the detained Russian citizens were freed on Wednesday evening," he said.

All-in-all over 600 people were detained in Minsk on the night from December 19 to 20. Most of them were subjected to arrests to from ten to 15 days.
