Belarus increased output of fat-and-oil products

During January-November period of 2010, enterprises of the fat-and-oil industry of Belarus increased production volumes of all varieties of fat-and-oil commodities, declared the National Statistical Committee of the Republic of Belarus (Belstat).

According to Belstat data, during eleven months of the current year, production volumes of vegetable oils in the country totaled 85.16 thsd tonnes, an increase of 21.2% compared to January-November of 2009. In particular, the organizations of the Belarusian State Concern of Food Industry Belgospischeprom increased vegetable oils production by 19.1% - to 29.9 thsd tonnes, the enterprises, subordinated to the local councils of deputies, produced 34.3 thsd tonnes of vegetable oils (up 4.5%), the enterprises of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food - 7.2 thsd tonnes (up 3.9 times). Juridical entities without the departmental affiliation decreased the output by 47.8% - to 4.2 thsd tonnes.

During January-November period of 2010, Belarus increased production of bottled oil by 35.5% compared to the same period of 2009, and produced 15 thsd tonnes of the product.

In the reporting period, the country produced 17.8 thsd tonnes of mayonnaise, an increase of 1.6% compared to the same period of the previous year.

In January-November of 2010, margarine production in Belarus increased by 13.1%, compared to the same period of the previous year - to 17.55 thsd tonnes.

According to data of the National Statistical Committee, as of December 1, 2010, reserves of vegetable oils at storages of the producers totaled 9.4% of the average monthly production volumes, margarine products - 21.6%, mayonnaise - 33.6%.
