Lukashenko wins election with 79.1 pct - exit poll

MINSK Dec 19 (Reuters) - Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko won re-election to a fourth term with 79.1 percent of the vote on Sunday, according to results of a pro-government exit poll.

His closest challenger, Grigor Kostusev, won 4.2 percent, the EcooM research centre said shortly after polls closed at 8 p.m. (1800 GMT). (Reporting by Andrei Makhovsky; Writing by Matt Robinson; Editing by Mark Trevelyan)
