Belarus to Refine Kazakhstan Crude at its Refineries

In an interview with the Kazakhstan television station Channel Seven, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said Belarus would soon begin refining crude from Kazakhstan at its refineries. Lukashenko pointed out that Belarus and Kazakhstan have over 30 joint projects.

Most of these are project which Belarus is carrying out in Kazakhstan. As far as cooperation in energy is concerned, the Belarusian leader said that "We welcome you with great pleasure".

Lukashenko said that Belarus would refine Kazakhstan crude which would be supplied to Belarusian refineries.

"And together with you, we will supply oil products after [the crude] is refined at our facilities to European, Russian, Belarusian and Ukrainian markets", he said.
