During a bilateral summit at the OSCE summit in Astana, Azerbaijani and Belarusian presidents Ilham Aliyev and Alexander Lukashenko recently affirmed to develop their amicable ties between their two countries, Trend news agency reported. Aliyev said Azerbaijan considers Belarus as its partner and friend and recalled that he still remembers Lukashenko's recent trip to Azerbaijan.
We are pleased with your success and look forward to active cooperation, Aliyev said.
In turn, the Belarusian president also thanked Aliyev for Azerbaijan's support financially and in other areas.
He siad that both sides have several joint projects which are being implemented, adding, You can be sure that we will fulfill our obligations to your country.
The Belarusian president also stressed that his Azerbaijani counterpart's speech at the summit was short and clear.
It was reported that relations between the two countries are actively developing in all spheres.
