Belarus Version Of "Friends" Theme Will Give You Nightmares

We don't know if this video is real or not, but if it is, the Belarus version of "Friends" features an incredibly frightening opening credit sequence. The shots of the cast are the same, but the repeated chanting of the word "druzya" makes it sound as if "Friends" no longer takes place in a cheery New York apartment, but instead is located in some weird sex dungeon.

It makes us wonder if in Belarus, this is just as catchy as the Rembrandts' original song. Back in '96, everybody was singing "I'll be there for you!" Does this have the same effect in Belarus? We can't imagine the soul crushing repetition of "Druzya" is nearly as catchy. Maybe the distant sound of man crying in the background is the hook.
