In January-October Belarus-Moldova trade up 58.9%

In January-October, the trade between Belarus Moldova was up 58.9% over the same period last year to reach $294 million. Exports increased by 81.5% to $215.2 million, imports by 18.5% to $78.8 million, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Economy Ministry of Belarus.

In January-October, Belarus had a $136.4mn surplus in trade with Moldova. The surplus increased by $84.3 million from the same period last year.

According to the Economy Ministry, the increase in Belarusian exports to Moldova was due to the supplies of oil products, liquefied gas, tractors, including truck tractors, fibreboards, tyres, ethylene polymers, plywood, lime and other products.

In January-October, major imports from Moldova were grape wines, strong beverages, anhydrous plaster, gypsum, plaster, medicines, tomatoes, glass containers.
