Belarus: Minselkhozprod Waits for Rosselkhoznadzor' Results of Inspection of 14 Belarusian Enterprises

Ministry of Agriculture and Food Supply of Belarus (Minselkhozprod) waits for the results of the inspection held by Federal Agency for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision (Rosselkhoznadzor) in 14 meat processing enterprises in relation to which Belarusian party has provided additional information. This information shall be taken into consideration when making a final decision, whether the aforementioned plans are licensed to supply their products of animal origin to Russia from January 1, 2009 or not, as Mikhail Saveliev, the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Supplies of Belarus said to BELTA.

Mikhail Saveliev specified that 3 of 14 enterprises have not been included into the list before. (Dyatlovsky Cheese Factory, Oshmyansky Cheese Factory and Smorgonsky Meat Processing Plant). As for the rest 11 enterprises, they were inspected additionally by specialists of the Chief Veterinary Department of Minselkhozprod. The Violations detected by Rosselkhoznadzor were completely eliminated.
