‘ustoms union of Belarus, Russia and Kazakhstan founded till April 1, 2009

The customs union of Belarus, Russia and Kazakhstan is planned to be founded till April 1, 2009, declared Andrew Evdochenko, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus, on December 11.

Till April 1, the governments of these countries set a task to carry the customs control on outer borders. But to date, Russia is able to remove transport and phytosanitary control from the Belarusian borders, noted A.Evdochenko.

According to the Deputy Minister, at first the officials planned to found the customs union in 2010, but than decided to speed up the process. At the same time, Russia and Belarus provide unification of own border tariffs faster compared to Kazakhstan. To date, Russia and Belarus completed the process of unification by over 95% and have distinctions at nearly 2.000 commodity outputs.
