Belarusian President underlines implementation of agreements with Iran

TEHRAN, Dec. 12 (ISNA)-Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko expressed hope bilateral agreements between Iran and Belarus would be put into practice soon and bear fruitful results.

Meeting with Iran's Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki in capital Minsk, Lukashenko also called for employment of high capabilities of the two sides and growth of the current 90 million dollars annual commercial transactions.

Elsewhere he called for implementation of bilateral agreements now being discussed by the two sides.

Mottaki on his part said Iran seriously pursues putting agreements into action for expansion of bilateral ties. "My Belarusian counterpart Sergei Martynov and I have looked into ways for raising ties in all sections over last 6 months."

He also assured Lukashenko that there is no obstacle for mutual cooperation and "we try much to strengthen the relations."

Mottaki along with a high-ranking political, economic and industrial delegation left Tehran for Minsk to discuss approaches for development of ties in all sections.
