Russia opposes changing Belarus gas price formula
RBC, 07.12.2007, Budapest 17:13:24.Russia's Industry and Energy Ministry considers it unwise to review the natural gas formula for Belarus, Deputy Minister Ivan Matyorov told journalists today, reiterating that Belarus had proposed to revise the formula approved in late 2006 as a result of long and difficult negotiations. Matyorov noted that the gas price would be higher in 2008 than in 2007, tentatively to reach $125 per 1,000 cubic meters, according to the current formula, with the precise figure to be announced within days.
