Gazprom says made no progress on Belarus gas deal

MOSCOW (Reuters) - Russian gas monopoly Gazprom said on Sunday no agreement had been reached with Belarus on the price of gas exports in 2007, a dispute which could disrupt flows to western Europe.

"The talks are continuing but they are continuing in the absence of Belarus's top negotiator (First Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir) Semashko," Gazprom spokesman Sergei Kupriyanov said on Russia's NTV television. "We are exchanging faxes and letters but there is still no progress."
